Regional Operations Manager - Western Cape

We are looking for a Regional Operations Manager who will be responsible for overseeing multiple retail branches and the regional office in the Western Cape Region, ensuring efficiency and profitability. Profitability The primary responsibility of this role is to maximize profitability through increased revenue and cost reduction. The candidate needs to come up with feasible ideas on how to achieve these goals, and needs to work closely with executive management in order to achieve the desired outcomes, and meet profit targets. People Management Drive the company mission, vision and values in the region. Drive the agreed targets through the retail structure to ensure achieved goals. Responsible for staff and branch outputs and the monitoring of their performance. Communicating with all branch managers regarding any branch related changes to ensure that branding, procedures and branch systems are consistent and run consistently throughout the business. Ensure vacancies and recruitment is up to date and in line with the budgeted regional head count. Ensure compliance training is conducted twice yearly in line with Gambling Board requirements. Conduct performance reviews on all branch KPI's for the region. Oversee Industrial Relations (disciplinary) proceedings are conducted & outcomes are in line with the company code of conduct. Actively communicate with marketing management and activations team regarding activations. Prepare payroll submissions in line with monthly payroll cut-off. Ensure branches compliance with Gambling Board regulations. Branch Visits Visit one branch weekly and a full day is to be spent at the branch. When visiting a branch, a thorough report must be compiled. The report is to include, but not be limited to; Staff presentation Branch maintenance The accuracy of work being done The implementation and adherence to companywide procedures Branch security Stock levels Queue management Balancing procedures The optimisation of all resources within the branch. Proposed changes. A final report must be submitted to the National Operations Manager. Operational Management Meetings To review, assess, and provide feedback on all regional and branch meetings held. Oversee the organization of these meetings and proposed next steps. Meetings to include branch managers, as well as between branch employees and their managers. Compile minutes of the bi-monthly branch management meeting, provide deadlines, and follow up on all outstanding issues. Provide feedback to executive management on branch issues as well as progress made on a weekly basis on all meeting items. Recorded meeting minutes to be shared with the National Operations Manager after each meeting. Policies Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented in the region: Human resources policies relating to staff conduct, presentation, performance within the workplace. Audit procedures which will assist the company in mitigating the possibility of fraud and theft, and ensure that audits are focused on the correct areas, and are also performed in a structured manner. Ensure security procedures and standards are implemented and maintained to maximise the safety of company assets and the wellbeing of employees and customers. General procedures relating to operations that will assist in maintaining consistency on a national level. Suppliers The primary responsibility in this role will be the adherence to the procurement policy and limits put in place by the company, and getting the relevant sign off from superiors where necessary. To liaise with suppliers and procurement, consolidating purchases where possible, therefore securing the best service and product rates. To maintain a good working relationship with suppliers, building healthy working relationships. Ensuring that all goods and services secured are in the best interests of World Sports Betting. Dealing with suppliers, and committing to supplier changes where needed. Signing off of weekly invoices being made to suppliers, and being able to reconcile work done against invoices processed. Responsibility to executive management To ensure that all changes made by executive management are implemented in the branches. Provide monthly feedback to executive management regarding branch turnover, profitability and resource expenditure. Recommendations must be made where necessary. To be solution minded in making recommendations for change that adds value to executive management and the business. Conduct any other task required by executive management. To act as a leader amongst subordinates, and create a culture of positivity and hard work. All decisions made in this role need to be in the best interests of World Sports Betting, and the effect of brand perception on all decisions needs to always be kept in mind. Financial Acumen essential 3-5 years' experience. People Management – 3-5 years' experience. Gambling Industry - 3-5 years' experience essential. Strong attention to thoroughness and detail. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to respond appropriately to unexpected challenges and shifting priorities. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Market Related Apply Now
