Our client is looking for a Renewable Energy Engineer to join their team in Roodepoort, Gauteng. Responsibilities: Provide technical support for the Tender team, exploring solutions for customer requirements based on the product portfolio. Actively participate in all proposal phases, analyzing customer requests and their technical feasibility. Interface daily with engineering, supply chain, and project management departments for project-specific inputs. Work independently to complete tasks, taking accountability and responsibility in a hybrid work environment. Assist team members with sales support, including developing client proposals and pitch mechanics. Deliver sales presentations to clients, designing and developing presentations. Improve negotiations and contract closing by supporting the Sales Team. Liaise and coordinate with clients, external professionals, and consultants. Articulate technical capabilities of products, attending and/or performing technical demonstrations. Create quotes and sales proposals on behalf of the Sales Team. Partner with the sales team to generate leads. Accompany sales representatives throughout the sales process, from RFI/RFP to contract negotiation and closing. Requirements B.Eng/BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 3 years experience in Electrical Engineering in an industrialized and/or commercial environment, preferably in Renewable Energy. Some pre-sales/sales experience preferred. In-depth understanding of contracts and legal compliance, terms, and conditions. Solar PV or BESS experience is advantageous but not mandatory. Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Word & MS Excel. Effective communication skills on all levels. Pleasant personality with a "make-it-happen" work ethic.
