Job Posted: 26-Feb-2024 Location: Cape Town A number one wholesaler in the world for luxury resorts in the Maldives and Seychelles and recently started selling South Africa and UAE. Based in the UK, Dubai, Maldives, Seychelles and South Africa. As the company continues to grow in South Africa, they are looking for an experienced Reservations Consultant with luxury segment expertise to join the team. Reports to Director of Operations and Product Development Location On Site in South Africa (Preferred – Ideally from Cape Town) Benefits Medical contribution Scope: We are looking for a high performing, strong and innovative individual with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Experience in the luxury or ultra-luxury market in South Africa is most preferred. The right candidate will have first class reservations and relationship skills, with an exceptional knowledge of products and services in South Africa. The ideal candidate will be creative, proactive, demonstrating initiative to fully understand the needs and expectations of our ultra-net worth clients, while delivering innovative products. Strong organizational skills and high service levels, with a sharp focus on attention to detail with the ability to easily adapt to change in a fast paced, high performance culture. A positive 'can-do' attitude and self-starter who is able to manage multiple tasks at once. Experience required: Previous reservations experience in luxury DMC or Travel Agency Detailed knowledge of luxury products and suppliers in South Africa and Indian Ocean Previous safari experience a bonus Established network in the sector Proven track record of delivering with detail orientation and accuracy Proven track record of relationship management with industry peers Team player who shares ideas and learning with others Professional with a sense of fun Excellent ability to build and manage relationships with a wide variety of people and cultures Computer literate The roles and responsibilities are varied and wide and not limited to the following: Manage day-to-day B2B booking enquiries Receive enquiries and convert leads from relevant country agents and DMCs as required Communicate with operations and marketing team proactively about what you need from them to achieve your goals Point of contact between Supplier and Agent whilst Guests are travelling to ensure smooth travel and give regular feedback to originating agent.
