Property Manager Residential Portfolio Reports to (Superior) Portfolio Manager Subordinate Building Managers, Handyman, General workers, Cleaners and Security guards Job Purpose The purpose of the role is to manage the property portfolio to maximize the income and tenant retention and manage the expenses. The role is secondly responsible for the overall maintenance of the building. The role is further responsible for managing tenants and employees. PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications & Experience: 1. 3 Year business/property (e.g. BSC Property Studies) related degree preferred. 2. Estate Agencies Affairs Board Competency Certificate (NQF Level 4) required. 3. 3 Years’ of property management experience preferred. 4. Code 08 Driver’s license required. Skills & Knowledge Required: 1. Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. 2. Basic knowledge of credit control principles. 3. Good knowledge of MDA Property Management system (added advantage) 4. General knowledge of the following legislations: a. Building Regulations b. Rental Housing Tribunal Act c. Health & Safety Act 5. Conflict management skills. 6. Excellent analytical financial skills. 7. Excellent communication skills. 8. Time management skills. 9. Basic knowledge of market trends – e.g. competitive rentals, new developments etc.
