Restaurant General Manager - South Africa

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and follow the companys code of conduct.
  • Maintain dress code standards.
  • Customer Service.
  • Maintain and sustain top service levels.
  • Manage/Discipline staff and their duties.
  • Assist in all areas where needed.
  • Opening and closing duties.
  • Food costing.
  • Developing business strategies.
  • Budget plans and managing them.
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene, and health and safety legislation/guidelines.
  • Record keeping of stock.
  • Maintain quality standards of cleaning and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Postgraduate qualification in business management is advantageous
  • 3+ years of executive general manager experience.
  • Good knowledge of duties and procedures in a restaurant environment.
  • Computer knowledge (word, outlook, excel)
  • Knowledge of Pilot software.
  • Experience in large restaurants is beneficial
