Area/Location: Stellenbosch Summery:
We have a vacancy for a Restaurant Manager with substantial F&B knowledge in order to manage staff, handle complaints, and be the person that is responsible for all operations of the Restaurant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Opening and/or closing of the Restaurant
- Maintenance of housekeeping - ensure that front of house is clean and tidy and ready for service
- Oversee bookings for the day - ensure that tables are set up correctly for bookings based on number of pax
- Daily briefing with waitron staff prior to opening
- Ensure that all cutlery, crockery, glassware, condiments, silverware is polished and prepared for service
- Answering phones, taking bookings, attend to special requests, etc.
- Meet and greet guests on arrival - oversee that service is running smoothly throughout the shift
- Deal with customer service and ensure resolution
- Management of health, safety and hygiene standards
- Control of stock, stock takes, stock rotation
- Daily cash up and balancing
- General admin associated with restaurant management
- Training and mentoring of staff
- Any other ad hoc duties as directed by management
Qualifications:- 3 - 4 years' experience in a similar position
- 3 - 4 years' experience with Pilot
- F&B Certificate / Diploma will be advantageous
- Matric
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Computer literate MS Office
- Valid driver's license and own reliable transport
- Preferably residing in the Stellenbosch area
