Description A vacancy exists for two suitably qualified and experienced Retail who will identify the customer's specific needs and provide accurate service and product information to meet those needs. In addition, the candidate will assist at Point of Sale and provide support to the store in general. Attending to Customers Greet and acknowledge customers Direct/accompany customers to correct product location Identifying customer needs Resolve customer queries Assist customers in showroom Maintain on going customer services during busy trading periods. Taking telephonic orders for delivery/collection (where applicable). Assisting POS operator with packing of customer purchases during busy trading periods. Typing/faxing/emailing quotations to customers (where applicable). Display and merchandising Identify correct shelving unit for displaying stock Ensure shelving units are aligned and adequately spaced Ensure stock is merchandised according organisational policies and procedures Ensuring designated areas are always well stocked and presentable. Ensure all stock items have a shelf edge label Shelf edge labels must be updated with immediate effect for all price changes. Informing relevant parties of when stock items are running low for replenishment. Mark and display stock in a presentable manner allowing for easy access to customers Selling of goods and services Provide customers with accurate stock information Stimulate customer interest by promoting and explaining a range of goods and services available Maximise sales Assisting customer with orders consisting of non-standard products. Informing customers of new products/promotion Loss control and handling stock Assisting Branch Manager with investigating stock deficiencies daily Monitors store security Ensure high value items are stored in a secure location Monitor, rotate and replenish stock in accordance with organisational procedures. Accurate safe handling and filing of all documentation. Unpack/pack stock using proper handling techniques to protect various categories of stock. Move/pack stock using the correct equipment. Pack customers purchases in a manner eliminating any possible damage to stock. Health and safety and housekeeping Report non adherence to OSH Act to health and safety rep and management Ensures that standard health and safety requirements are adhered to Ensure safety of all company assets Pack stock in their designated areas Shop is kept neat and tidy at all times Waste is disposed of/removed as per organisational policy and procedures. Stock take Process/complete all outstanding documentation. Prepare shop for stock take. Count stock and record quantities onto scanner. Critical skills: Telephone skills Customer service skills Communication skills Ability to listen and interpret information Selling skills Numerical skills Computer literacy skills. Administrative skills and abilities Ability to follow specified procedures in the completion of their duties Interpersonal / Social skills. (Ability to interact with customers in an enthusiastic, polite and professional manner.) The ability to present themselves and the Company in a professional manner Knowledge: Know company policy with regards to customer services. Product knowledge. Knowledge of company documentation. Knowledge of goods and services provided by the company. Knows general operation of the company. Knowledge of delivery routes and times. Knowledge of the ERP system.
