Retail leasing Manager Our client is known for their expertise in asset management, property development, and retail leasing, and looking to appoint a Retail Leasing Manager. The ideal candidate will come with 4 - 5 years of experience in retail leasing and a proven record of securing national, international, or niche tenants. Kindly be advised that this position entails a temporary 12-month contract duration. Minimum Requirements: National Senior Certificate. A relevant degree or diploma in Retail Management will be advantageous. Essential: Registered and hold an active FFC. Hold a SACSC Certificate. 4-5 years of proven expertise in retail leasing with a track record of success, including achieving leases with national, international, or niche tenants. Previous experience in retail leasing within a new development setting, managing centers exceeding 20,000m² in size. Valid Driver’s License. Roles and Responsibilities: In charge of all leasing operations, including the review and negotiation of lease transactions and agreements. Responsible for leasing both existing and newly developed retail spaces to maintain and increase market share. Support leasing strategy and project direction. Manage retail unit rental for maximum occupancy and premium rental levels. Engage with tenants to maintain high-quality tenancy. Set and achieve budget rental income targets. Undertake direct leasing negotiations with prospective tenants. Prepare and review tenancy mix for optimum retail asset performance. Provide regular leasing progress reports to Divisional Director. Maximize rental income and lease terms through negotiations. Ensure leasing targets are met for existing portfolio and new developments. Activate leasing promptly to minimize vacancy downtime. Maintain relationships with tenants and industry professionals. Actively source and secure desired retailers. Maintain and review prospective tenant database. Conduct market research on new brands and retail trends. Monitor competitor developments, rentals, and major deals. Review and evaluate shopper profile mix impact on retail sector. Stay updated on market changes and build industry network. Manage tenant paperwork and lease documentation accurately. Oversee deals from inception to completion, including handover meetings.
