Full job description EXTERNAL ADVERT RIGID DUMP TRUCK OPERATORS (RDT) Hernic Opencast Operations (Pty) Ltd is looking for a passionate and goal driven Rigid Dump Truck Operator, who will be based in North West Brits area. The qualified and suitable candidates applying for this position should meet the below minimum requirements. Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent. Code 10 Driver’s licence Valid Rigid Dump Truck (RDT) competency certificate. Dover test with Symbol A. 3 years’ work-related experience operating 773/777 RDT or equivalent. Medically Fit. Operational knowledge of opencast mining and earth moving equipment. Must understand the importance of working safely. Responsibilities Must be able to complete pre-use inspection and risk assessment. Take full care of the truck regarding its cleanliness and tyre protection. Conduct a brake test at the start of the shift and once with a load during the shift. Reporting equipment defects. Adhere to standard operating procedures. Achieve the daily planned target of loads transported. Load and haul material to the correct dumps.
