Exceptional opportunity has opened up with a multinational, faith-based NPO client for a Risk and Governance Manager. This role will report to the Head of Risk and Governance for South Africa in developing their risk strategy on both a regional as well as global level. Responsibilities:
- Embedding, developing and improving robust and user-friendly risk management policies and processes
- Maintaining the risk dashboard through regular monthly meetings to monitor risks
- Facilitating Risk and Governance workshops and providing support and training to staff to build risk awareness
- Participating in the delivery of strategic Risk and Governance project activities, including the co-ordination and production of agenda packs for meetings and monitoring global business activity
- Responsibility for the project management of setting up new entities
- Monitoring and managing the Due Diligence Process within internal teams as required
- Represent Risk and Governance department on cross-departmental groups and projects
- To keep up to date with good / best risk management practice and share learnings
- Responsible for Risk and Governance function supplier engagement process and payments
Requirements:
- Minimum of a completed degree / professional qualifications Accounting / Risk or Audit
- Must have experience in the risk space, with a solid track record of risk identification, analysis and reporting and ideally within a large multinational / regional business or a large scale non-profit organization
- Minimum of 5 years programme management experience in a multinational and multi-stakeholder environment
- Detailed oriented with meticulous documentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build strong relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills, you're able to present complex information concisely
- Knowledge on charity governance structures would be an advantage
