We are seeking a Risk Officer for a permanent role based in Mthatha, Eastern Cape. Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Grade 12 with Safety Management Diploma / SAMTRAC certificate Valid drivers and willing to travel extensively to conduct store visits in allocated region Proficient on MS Office 3 years’ experience in a risk or compliance related role (retail industry preferred) The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: Proactively manage risk and identify, evaluate, monitor, investigate and aid the National Risk Manager to improve controls within the business to mitigate and eliminate any potential risk within the business internal audit – monthly / quarterly assessments; risk reports; monitor controls for stock management; implementation of new policies or procedures Loss prevention – attend regional stock takes and ensure that procedures are adhered to; investigate high value stock loss; stock count controls; manage / ensure that security systems are maintained; monthly crime report Personnel – training staff & management regarding risk; ensure H&S team is in place; conduct meetings Salary: Market related basic, Laptop, Cell, 3G, Company pool vehicle, Fuel card Please email detailed CV and supporting documentation and salary requirements through to glynisbsheldon.co.za with “Risk Officer” in the subject line If you have not received a response within 7 working days, please consider your application unsuccessful
