Competitive rates. LOCATION: RUSTENBURG, NW The Risk & Governance Practitioner supports the SHE Management Function by delivering appropriate SHE project management services by SIB AAP SHE strategy. The Risk & Governance Practitioner is responsible for the development, implementation and management of safety and risk control programs, as well as ensuring legal compliance and provision of a safety advisory and reporting service to the SIB Project Team, Operational Unit or Area. Initiating Assist H&S Manager to set up and initiate project safety according to the Anglo American SIB Project Management Guideline and Investment Development Method (IDM). Planning Obtain inputs from relevant disciplines and develop safety related section in the Project Management Plan with all its appendices (According to the Anglo American SIB Project Management Guideline and IDM and Group Smelters). Assist with specific SHE risks by means of risk assessments and HAZOPs. Executing, Monitoring & Control Implement the group safety, health, and environment strategy on all Rebuild Projects. Ensure that the Anglo Platinum SHE Policy and Site-specific safety is understood and implemented by Service Providers. Ensure SHE management and reporting systems are integrated with PMO SIB systems. SHE targets for Rebuilds Projects to meet corporate targets. Safety, Health and Environment initiatives and programmes. Advise the Construction Manager, H&S Manager and Project Managers on associated risks. Assist with the compliance to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its Regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections. Conduct monthly audits on site to determine safety aspects (records, trends, surveillance etc.). Submit safety, health, and environment reports for the Projects department to Corporate and external bodies as required. Conduct ongoing safety meetings with Service Providers. Ensure timeous and accurate reporting of safety related issues to Construction Manager, H&S Manager and Project Managers Trend analysis of safety, health, and environment performance. Maintain standards for investigations and reports. Manage incident and accident investigations. Independent review of serious incidents and all accidents. Keep records of all incidents and accidents. Generate statistics for incidents, accidents and LTIs for monthly reporting. Analyse all incidents and accidents to get an understanding of the safety trends and to minimize or eliminate incidents and accidents. Close-out of all action items regarding incidents and accidents. Organize training and induction programs appropriate to the risks assessed. Represent SIB Projects on relevant SHE forums. Assist with Environmental Impact Studies. Ensure Site Induction and Medical compliance. Develop and manage safety, health, and environment talent on SIB Projects. Systems include, but are not limited to: Ismetrix Smartsheet Htsheet PrjectWise / Box SharePint Signing Hub SAP Safety, Health & Environment Communications Manage communication to Corporate and Functional Centres in the case of injuries, incidents, HPI (high potential incidents), and fatalities within the defined timeframes. Manage the distribution and compilation of Safety, Health, and Environment communication material. Handover and Close out Assist with Administrative Close-Out documentation for the project. Contribute to lessons learned. Assist with the filing and archiving of all project documentation in the Project File. Safety, Health & Environment Adhere to site-specific Safety, Health Environment (SHE) Requirements. Governance Support the H&S Manager to manage project safety according to SIB Project Management Office policies, procedures and systems. Review and Manage project safety audits with regards to policies, procedures and systems. Ensure that the project is compliant within the legal framework established in Anglo Platinum. Report on own Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). General Any other work that may be required by the project team to ensure that the project safety delivery objectives are met. _______________________________________ 5 - 10 Years' experience in the processing and/or mining, engineering and shut down construction environments. Risk Assessment Techniques. Safety Inspections and Auditing. Train-the Trainer Incident Investigation Planning and Observation Qualifications: COMSOC I & II or equivalent SAMTRAC National Safety Diploma would be advantageous. .
