- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Degree in Rock Engineering / Mining
- Rock Mechanics Certificate
- Strata Control Certificate
- At least 6 to 8 years experience in an Opencast Mining environment as a Rock Engineer
- A valid Occupational Health Certificate of Fitness
- Code 08 (EB) Drivers License and own reliable transport
