To provide specialised integrated geotechnical expertise to the mine, manage geotechnical investigations and
ensure structural stability of residue deposits, waste dumps and stockpiles, which includes but not limited to:
Business intelligence and trend analysis
Functional process optimization
Promote and enforce compliance
Plan, implement, control and monitor approved changes
Plan, direct and assess quality management within function
Micro and macro economic awareness
Input into functional planning
Geotechnical structural stability
Implement operations effectiveness model and practice
Implement cost control effectiveness
People development and identify training gaps
Internal and external relations management
People management (Functional performance)
Workforce planning
SHERQ adherence and related compliance
Work Ethics
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science / BTech (NQF Level 7) in Rock Engineering / Geology / Mining
Certificate in Rock Mechanics (Rock Engineering)
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of seven (7) years operational Rock Engineering experience
Minimum three (3) years operational middle management experience - (Total of 8 years experience)
