Reference: ITE006097-SAN-1 Our client, a global insurer, is recruiting for a passionate Full Stack Software Developer with an extensive background in Ruby on Rails. This role requires a unique blend of development expertise and DevOps practices to ensure the seamless deployment, operation, and scalability of the company's applications. Ruby Developer Cape Town, Hybrid Requirements: Demonstrated experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a comparable position. Minimum of 5 years working experience with Ruby on Rails and associated libraries such as Devise, Omniauth, and RSpec. Proficiency with cloud platforms, particularly AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, Ubuntu, Nginx, Redis, Aurora Postgres, etc.). Competence in front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, CSS) and frameworks (e.g., React or React Native). Knowledge of essential design principles for building scalable applications. Capability to deploy automated testing frameworks and unit tests. Experience with React Native is a significant advantage but not essential. KPA's: Create, develop, and sustain efficient, reusable, and dependable code with Ruby on Rails. Design, implement, and manage deployment and operational systems on AWS, guaranteeing application scalability, performance, and security. Assist in the creation of the mobile application, using React Native for cross-platform functionality. Detect bottlenecks and bugs and formulate solutions to address these issues. Work closely with the product team to define, design, and release new features. Keep updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into operations and activities.
