Reference: WB003477-AG-1Our client, a leading FMCG manufacturing company, is searching for a passionate and driven Safety Officer to join their dedicated team. In this key role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, fostering a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management. What You'll Do: Implement and uphold comprehensive safety policies and procedures, adhering to OHSA legislation. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Investigate workplace incidents thoroughly, implement corrective actions, and share learnings with the team. Deliver engaging safety training programs and workshops to educate and empower employees. Monitor and oversee safe work practices across all production areas and departments. Maintain accurate and detailed safety records and documentation. Collaborate with management and other team members to promote a positive safety culture. Stay up-to-date on evolving safety regulations and best practices. What We're Looking For: National Diploma in Safety Management or related qualification. 3-5 years' experience in a safety role within a manufacturing environment. Proven understanding and application of OHSA regulations and principles. Solid knowledge and experience conducting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA). Demonstrated ability to investigate workplace incidents effectively and impartially. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address safety concerns. Proactive, meticulous, and detail-oriented approach to ensure safety compliance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
