We are urgently looking for a Safety Officers (CHSO) and Managers (CHSM) to join their team. Location : Northen Cape (Sutherland Area) Industry: Windfarms Employment Type: Project Based Employment (12 Months) Summery: We are urgently looking for a Safety Officers (CHSO) and Managers (CHSM) for several sites to provide an integrated Safety Management service to ensure the identification and management of safety risks and the implementation of measures/initiatives that improves the safety in the workplace to join our client's team. Qualifications: SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions) certification. HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) certification. SAMTRAC (Safety Management Training Course) certification. Thorough understanding of the Mine Safety Act and relevant mining regulations. Proven experience as a Safety Officer in a similar industry. Job Description: As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in our project's success by ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and guidelines. Your primary responsibilities will include: Conducting risk assessments and hazard identification (HIRA). Monitoring and enforcing compliance with safety regulations, including the Mine Safety Act. Promoting a culture of safety awareness and accountability among all project stakeholders. Conducting regular safety inspections and audits. Investigating incidents and accidents and providing recommendations for improvement. Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and training programs. Maintaining accurate safety records and reports. Collaborating with project management and other departments to ensure safety standards are met. Keeping up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
