Accountant (Financial Reporting Consultant)IntroductionAn accounting software company in Centurion is looking for a Financial Reporting Consultant to join their team. Successful candidates can prioritise tasks yet be flexible to shift attention and meet customer and team needs with a helping attitude.Minimum education (essential):BCom Accounting or a BCom degree with Accounting as a majorMinimum education (desirable):BCom Accounting with completed articlesMinimum applicable experience (years):3 years experience in an accounting or reporting environmentRequired nature of experience:Compilation of financial and management reportsClient interaction and engagementClient supportVisit clients, troubleshoot and present solutionsFinancial data integration and reportingSkills and knowledge (essential):MS Excel advanced level of proficiencySage BICSage Evolution/Sage 200Other accounting softwareSkills and knowledge (desirable):SQL intermediate to high level of proficiencyOther:Excellent English and Afrikaans written and verbal proficiencyOwn transport and a valid driver’s licenseConsultant might be required to work from key client’s offices occasionally.Key responsibilities:Client EngagementObtain an understanding of the client’s business and the specific reporting required.Keep the client informed of progress with task/projectNeeds Analysis:Set up proper documentation on the report scoping, requirements, purpose, and ownership for the client. Pay specific attention to:Timeline requirementsData integrationReport automationStorage and sendingReport Building and functionalityCompilation of integrated financial and operational reports.Identification of data sources and client-specific formulations and layouts.Application of additional functionality like drill-downs and dashboards.Obtain internal assistance on data structures, views, stored procedures, and other functionality required.Maintenance and SupportProvide timely support and updates on fault finding according to client deadlines.Assist with data reconciliations.Obtain client acceptance and sign off on tasks.Remuneration:Market-related See Description See Description Apply Now
