Description South Africa's top investment group is looking for an Accountant to join their team in Cape Town. Requirements: • B.Compt. Degree or equivalent • Completed SAIPA articles • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English) • Experience with Caseware • SARS experience would be an advantage • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Team Player • Work well under pressure • Self-motivated and well organized • Great work ethic • Deadline driven • Valid driver's license Duties: Supervising and providing guidance to Bookkeepers and SAIPA Trainees. Review of work performed by Bookkeepers and SAIPA Trainees: Review of monthly processing, working papers, trial balances and Caseware files; Review of Annual Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs; Review and submission of VAT, EMP, Provisional and Income Tax Returns. Performance appraisal processes for all Bookkeepers and SAIPA Trainees being supervised. Review and sign-off of SAIPA Trainee logbook competencies. Client communication and management. Growing and maintaining a client database. Preparation of working papers, trial balances, Caseware files & tax calculations for more complex clients, if required. Compilation of annual financial statements, if required. SARS appointments and queries, if required.
