Our Client who is a well-established firm of chartered accountants and registered auditors in Pretoria is seeking to employ a bright and independent trainee who wants to qualify as a Professional Accountant (SAIPA).Main responsibilities: Capture transactions in accounting records.Perform reconciliations.Perform bookkeeping to trial balance.Interpreting clients’ accounting records and compiling annual financial statements (IFRS forSME’)Performed tax calculations and completed income tax returns and provisional tax returns.Perform VAT and PAYE calculations to submit returns on E-filing.Assist Accountants with various client matters, including administrative work.Resolve queries.Performing tasks required in terms of the SAIPA competency framework.Any other tasks related to the role.Requirements:Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Be very comfortable with, and have a general understanding of, computers and software, withan ability to learn new software quickly.Have a working knowledge of Word and Excel. Experience with Draftworx, Xero, and Pastel isadvantageous but not required.Have solid analytical ability and work well under pressure while maintaining high levels ofaccuracy and quality of work.Be deadline-driven and able to work independently without constant supervision.Have a strong desire to learn and develop in the position in line with furthering your traineeship.Great bill of health, both physically and mentally.Be studying towards or possessing a BCom Degree or similar qualification.Valid Driver’s license (will be a great advantage) and own reliable transport Benefits:Study leave for qualifying trainees and a firm focus on you achieving your qualification.Integrated learning environment, study sessions and direct access to partner (training officer).
