Description An established firm in Stellenbosch is on the lookout for SAIPA trainee Accountants for their 2024 intake. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates wanting to obtain a SAIPA training contract with a well-established, reputable and rapidly growing assurance firm where they will receive excellent training and experience. The ideal candidate will have a completed qualifying accounting or related degree, diploma or certificate at an accredited institution. The firm is looking for ambitious candidates with the required qualification, who likes to work as part of a team, but is also willing to take initiative and capable of working independently. This firm of Chartered Accountants (SA) and Registered Auditors offers a variety of services with the aim of continuously looking for cost-effective, value-added solutions to their clients’ business needs. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform accounting work. Produce client reports. Administrative duties. Full bookkeeping and accounting function up to trial balance, including debtors, creditors, bank, petty cash, journals, etc. Handling of VAT and PAYE reviews. Invoicing and debtors’ collection. IRP5 calculations, reconciliations and submissions. Liaison with clients. Maintenance of SARS accounts. PAYE/UIF/SDL calculations and EMP201 submissions. Registration and deregistration for Income Tax, PAYE, VAT and Import and Export licenses. Tax clearance applications. UIF registration and administration. VAT calculations and VAT201 submissions. WCA registrations, submission of returns and arranging letters of good standing. Qualifications and Experience: BAccounting, BCom Accounting, BCom Management Accounting, BCom Financial Accounting, or equivalent. Computer literacy. Ability to work in a team.
