Sales and Distributor Manager - Johannesburg

It is imperative that the individual be professional and approachable as they will largely be responsible for handling requests and queries from existing and potential clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth on a global scale. This person will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence, fostering key client relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets.

Key Responsibility Areas:
Leading the Sales team in sourcing and establishing new business and distributors globally, but also maintaining relationships with existing dealers and distributors worldwide
Planning and implementation of marketing strategies to increase sales
Upkeep and improving of the entire sales/marketing process (ROI's, samples, training, newsletters, CRM, etc.)
Identify, develop and implement sales strategies for new markets and improving of current markets
Maintaining an account of documentation detailing all information relating to products sold
Maintaining of a running sales forecast for global sales, through distributors and the sales team
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing global sales team
Build a collaborative and results-driven culture within the sales department
Collaborate with internal production teams to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues promptly
Reporting of sales forecast and actual sales results to senior management
Leading negotiation of contracts with customers and distributors
Preparing of sales documentation and compiling of quotations
Parts and aftersales service
Maintaining an exceptional level of client relationships;
Invoicing
Keeping communication on a very high level with current customers for all aircraft models
Proactively obtain industry trend data, technological advancements, competitors' products, market research and provide timely feedback to senior management
Budget management for sales & marketing team
Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and events to showcase products and build relationships
Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times and ensure that ethic codes are adhered to in all business conducted on the companys behalf
Assisting in the planning of company events
Attending to telephonic and electronic queries

Essential Requirements:
Five years or more experience in sales management or in a senior salesperson position
South African Private Pilots License or higher is preferred
In-depth knowledge of the aviation industry, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics
Proven track record of success in global sales management
Due to the exciting corporate culture of the company, a passion and general knowledge of aviation will be greatly beneficial
Customer Relations Management

Skills Required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills due to continuous correspondence with customers of the company
A high standard of professionalism is to be maintained at all times
Excellent negotiation, and interpersonal skills

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse sales team.
