Reference: JHB000914-VM-1Leading and growing aircraft manufacturer based in Johannesburg requires a Sales and Distributor Manager to join their team. South African Private Pilot’s License or higher is preferred. It is imperative that the individual be professional and approachable as they will largely be responsible for handling requests and queries from existing and potential clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth on a global scale. This person will play a crucial role in expanding our market presence, fostering key client relationships, and achieving ambitious sales targets. Key Responsibility Areas:Leading the Sales team in sourcing and establishing new business and distributors globally, but also maintaining relationships with existing dealers and distributors worldwidePlanning and implementation of marketing strategies to increase salesUpkeep and improving of the entire sales/marketing process (ROI's, samples, training, newsletters, CRM, etc.)Identify, develop and implement sales strategies for new markets and improving of current marketsMaintaining an account of documentation detailing all information relating to products soldMaintaining of a running sales forecast for global sales, through distributors and the sales teamLead, mentor, and grow a high-performing global sales teamBuild a collaborative and results-driven culture within the sales departmentCollaborate with internal production teams to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues promptlyReporting of sales forecast and actual sales results to senior managementLeading negotiation of contracts with customers and distributorsPreparing of sales documentation and compiling of quotationsParts and aftersales serviceMaintaining an exceptional level of client relationships;InvoicingKeeping communication on a very high level with current customers for all aircraft modelsProactively obtain industry trend data, technological advancements, competitors' products, market research and provide timely feedback to senior managementBudget management for sales & marketing teamRepresent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and events to showcase products and build relationshipsAdhere to company policies and procedures at all times and ensure that ethic codes are adhered to in all business conducted on the company’s behalfAssisting in the planning of company eventsAttending to telephonic and electronic queries Essential Requirements:Five years or more experience in sales management or in a senior salesperson positionSouth African Private Pilot’s License or higher is preferredIn-depth knowledge of the aviation industry, regulatory requirements, and market dynamicsProven track record of success in global sales managementDue to the exciting corporate culture of the company, a passion and general knowledge of aviation will be greatly beneficialCustomer Relations Management Skills Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills due to continuous correspondence with customers of the companyA high standard of professionalism is to be maintained at all timesExcellent negotiation, and interpersonal skillsNew business developmentStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse sales team.Reporting skillsAnalytical skillsSuperb business writing skills – this is a non-negotiable for successful candidateStrong organisational skillsData entry skills Software competencies: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project Monthly plus Basic provident fund Apply Now
