Sales Development Representative - Cape Town City Centre

You will be one of the first members to join a newly established SDR team in a successful and scaling fintech company, based in Cape Town. Your primary focus will be targeting and engaging prospective clients (merchants), playing an instrumental role in building pipeline for the field sales executive team. This is a high impact role offering great exposure and an opportunity to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Uncover & Engage Target Prospects: Master multi-channel outreach to identify and connect with ideal merchants.
  • Qualify Leads with Laser Focus: Conduct insightful conversations to assess fit and understand the merchant's profile.
  • Secure High-Value Appointments: Confidently navigate objections and convert leads into booked meetings with decision makers.
  • Optimize Pipeline Through Data: Analyze performance, identify trends, and refine prospecting strategies.
  • Maintain Pipeline Visibility: Utilize the Sales Force CRM tool to track progress and report on key metrics.

Experience

  • A tertiary qualification.
  • At least 1 year experience in sales (lead generation).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other relevant sales tools.
