As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for the growth and development of the organisations existing clients as well as the sourcing, onboarding, and development of new clients in-line with the organisations growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop growth strategies, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with various internal departments such as sales, marketing, product management and finance to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
- Professionally handle customer complaints through to resolution timeously.
- Be involved in specific tasks from time to time as defined by your manager. Researching organisations and individuals to find new opportunities.
- Find and develop new markets.
- Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.
- Develop and present proposals to clients.
- Conduct company/ product presentations.
- Monitor and review business development activities.
- Assist with the client onboarding process.
- Propose new ideas/processes for identifying business development opportunities.
Essential Requirements:
- Preference will be given to bachelors degree in engineering (Business, Sales, Electrical, Mechanical or related field).
- Proven experience in a technical sales role, preferably within the energy field.
- Strong technical understanding of energy storage systems, renewable energy technologies and power systems.
- Experience engaging with engineering consultancy.
- Business acumen and industry insights - Develops business plans.
