Position Overview: As the General Manager Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales and business development efforts for our company in the Western and Eastern Cape regions. Leveraging your strong analytical sales background and expertise in the construction industry, you will lead the expansion efforts, manage stock and administrative processes, and foster relationships with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth in the Western and Eastern Cape regions. Manage stock and administrative processes for the division to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction. Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive threats through analysis and research. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and industry partners. Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance the team's skills and capabilities. Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and operations, to streamline processes and optimize performance. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our products and services. Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and strategic alignment. Prepare regular reports, forecasts, and budgets to track progress and communicate performance to senior management. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field - preferred. Proven track record of 3 to 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the construction industry. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage stock and administrative processes effectively. Solid network within the construction industry with established relationships. Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for business development. Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
