Sales Manager Forwarding - Johannesburg

You will be tasked with driving Air and Ocean Forwarding sales for new business in South Africa. This role involves expanding new business volumes in collaboration with Trade Lane partners and managing forwarding opportunities. Reporting to the National Commercial Manager, you must meet specific Air and ocean Forwarding growth targets.

As the Forwarding Sales Manager, you'll drive new sales and expand client relationships with strategic initiatives. Your focus will be identifying prospects, nurturing relationships, and coordinating new business accounts. Collaboration with domestic and international offices is essential for streamlined operations. You'll also craft SOPs, manage communications, and provide insightful business development reports.

Due to our clients' Equity Plan and B-BBEE transformation objectives, preference will be given to African males or females. Only South African Citizens may apply for the position.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • Tertiary Education: B Degree or relevant Post Graduate Qualification
  • 5 to 10 years of Sales Experience in International Freight Forwarding
  • Track record in International Freight Forwarding and Clearing
  • Strong sales experience, ideally in business development
  • Proficient in sales, business development, and management
  • Highly motivated and experienced in sales planning and execution
  • In-depth knowledge of forwarding processes, regulations, and requirements
  • Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving
  • MS Office, CRM, and Cargo Wise (CW) experience a plus
