Reference: JHB001097-VM-1 Well known global organisation in the technical field is looking for an experienced Sales Manager - mining (yellow metals). The individual must have sold equipment (preferably yellow metal) into the mining industry. This position is based on the East Rand. Work experience and track record of working in the mining environment & mining sales are a key requirement Minimum 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in customer service and Mining equipment. Extensive knowledge of the industry and customer requirements and expectations. Excellent Understanding of mining application and methods. Reporting to the Head of Sales - Mining, the Sales Manager is a key person in the relationship between the company and our existing and prospective clients to grow divisional sales and build customer brand loyalty Increase existing client database and develop new business. Especially in the Mpumalanga Area. Weekly updates on reporting, planning as well as CRM updates on opportunities and quotations. Maintain and increase market share. Facilitates the sale and rental of equipment. Ensure participation in market opportunities Minimum two new customers annually. Achieve annual goals and targets. Increase market share by at least 3% annually in respective region. Minimum of 3 Unit sales, annually. 90% participation ratio target. All sales-related admin and reporting to be completed and submitted on a weekly basis. Liaises with factories, Workshop and Technical Product Support teams in order to ensure customer satisfaction, product quality and efficient service delivery. Arranges visits to customers to discuss potential business, local or cross border. Demonstrate / present MIN products and sales offers. Negotiates with clients to achieve a situation resulting in profitable sales. Establishes new leads and grow the customer portfolio. Attend meetings with clients and management. Attend tender briefings & site visits. Compile relevant documentation for request for offers / tenders. Gathers market information. Make sure all relevant documentation has been signed off by authorised persons (Customer and LAF). Due diligence processes. Attend international training courses & conferences. Attend factory and expo visits with customers. Demonstrate Sound Planning and Execution in terms of Time management. Liaise with Marketing Department to increase visibility Post Matric Technical or Sales & Marketing Qualification (NQF 5) Work experience and track record of working in the mining environment & mining sales are a key requirement Monthly plus Basic salary, car allowance, fuel card, medical aid, provident fund, life insurance, commission
