Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients Our client is seeking the employment of a Sales Representative / Engineer that will be responsible for the selling of new continuous miners and industrial gearboxes. MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION: •Conclude sales of new and repaired gearboxes from quotation to order to delivery of the gearboxes •Conclude sales of Continuous Miners from tender to order to commissioning of the Continuous Miners •Manage customer relationships •Forge strong customer relationships •Form the link between the customer and internal processes •Follow up on payments and ensure that the money is in the bank according to agreed terms and conditions •Identify and coordinate marketing opportunities such as golf days, exhibitions, etc •Ensure that the clients brand is established firmly in the market place •Assist other departments and managers from time-to-time as required •Adhere to all company policies and procedures •Adhere to Health and Safety as required by the various acts MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: •A Trade Qualification, Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required •3 to 5 years in sales and marketing of capital investment equipment in the mining sector with a proven track record •Sales experience of underground mining equipment would be advantageous •Excellent negotiation skills •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Be capable of doing presentations at the highest level •Sound knowledge and understanding of the sales process •Ability to forge strong customer relationships •Regular travelling required (locally and internationally) •Be a team player •Sound knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point A Trade Qualification, Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required •3 to 5 years in sales and marketing of capital investment equipment in the mining sector with a proven track record •Sales experience of underground mining equipment would be advantageous
