A dynamic agricultural company, specializing in maize and soybean seed, is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to drive sales within the assigned region by marketing products to farmers and agents and providing the relevant technical assistance. Minimum requirements for the role: Must have a relevant tertiary qualification Minimum 4 years’ sales experience in seed, ideally maize will be required Established relationships within the area are important for this role Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel Good communication skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, will be required The successful candidate will be responsible for: Developing market share within the assigned area. Contributing to sales planning and budgets. Assisting with arrangement of farmer’s days and other marketing/promotional activity. Co-ordinating product trials within the region. Collecting and reporting up-to-date market information. Maintaining proficiency of sales skills and product knowledge. Delivering products to clients, when necessary. Coordinating all commercial activities within the region. Managing customer accounts. Providing technical assistance to clients where possible.
