SALES REPRESENTATIVE - RICHARDS BAY Location: EMEA, South Africa, Durban Ref: JOHNCRANEEMEA02483 Division: John Crane Job Function: Sales Reporting to the regional manager in Richards Bay this is a sale's driven, sales focused role. Maintaining existing customers, sales growth and increasing the market share will be paramount to the success of this role. To represent the interests of John Crane at the customer, while also representing the customer's interests at John Crane Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for achieving the short, medium- and long-term sales and orders objectives for sales area located in the Kwa-Zulu Natal region. To establish and maintain contracts across the region appropriately for the successful and profitable management of the region. Establish strategic alliances with end-users, cultivating long term commitment and co-operation for mutual benefit and added value. Responsible for implementing the business development plans for sales areas, sales areas in line with the company's strategic direction for the region. Liaise with various technical departments to provide engineered solutions / advice to end users. Prospect for new accounts and establish new John Crane accounts. The Individual Graduate in any relevant field of education: Mechanical engineers preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in Sales. Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work under stress. Excellent planning, project, and time-management skills Results driven, both individually and within team Ability to work independently daily and be a strong "team player" within a sales/commercial team Experience in a distinctly customer service-oriented business. Technically capable, however knowledge of sealing products in the applied areas as Pipes, Food & Beverages, Oil/Gas and petrochemical would be an advantage. High levels of mental toughness and proven abilities to handle complex, fast moving and challenging commercial issues in a robust operating environment. Excellent communication skills both verbal & written is essential. Candidates with driving license and passport is a must.
