Description The On the Road Sales Specialist will be responsible for promoting and selling our products/services to customers within a designated territory. This role requires extensive travel, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of our product offerings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently. Hard Skills: Diary Management: Must manage their online diary with support from the admin team. Computer Literacy: Proficient in the following software: Online ordering portal Skynamo tracking system OneDrive (file sharing) Outlook (emails and online calendar) Excel Order Management: Orders are taken during client visits and entered during the day or after hours using our online ordering portal. Store Visits: Responsibilities include product launches, kit checks, merchandising of retail and professional stock, troubleshooting (excluding training), product spotlights, and general value additions. Soft Skills: Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and multi-tasking skills. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (verbal and written). Time Management: Ability to complete work promptly and seek support when needed. Task Completion: Understand the importance of task completion, supporting multiple communication devices/software (WhatsApp, emails, calls, online diary). Learning Ability: Capable of learning and following company SOPs. Non-Negotiables: Experience: On-the-road sales experience is essential. Professional nail experience/training is a bonus. Vehicle Requirements: Must have own car, a valid driver's license, and insurance for rentals if the car is not drivable (accident or engine issue). Working Hours: First appointment starts at 8:30 AM, and the last appointment ends at 4:45 PM, followed by a daily 15-minute voice call with the sales team. Training: Bimonthly AM and PM internal training sessions are compulsory (e.g., 7:30-8:30 AM remote training / 5:30-6:30 PM remote training; times may vary). Daily Visits: Between 5-8 visits per day, depending on the area. Appointment Scheduling: All visits must be booked in advance and rebooked for the following two months. Additional Work: No additional work, including beauty salon or other, is permitted during the week or weekend. We support self-growth but will not employ someone studying to move into a different career. Family Support: Due to on-the-road working hours, family support for children (where age appropriate) is compulsory, as the position is full-time and not flexi-hours. Smoking: Smoking is not allowed. Appearance: Must be presentable and take care of appearance (clothes, hair, makeup, etc.). Work Travel: Frequency: Approximately 4-5 nights per month Locations: Alternating between Eastern Cape & Garden Route Costs: Travel and accommodation covered by the company Residence Requirement: Due to the territories covered, the candidate must reside in one of the following areas in Cape Town: City Bowl Atlantic Seaboard Southern Suburbs South Peninsula Milnerton (Note: Northern Suburbs, West Coast, or Winelands are not suitable.) Additional Information: Client Base: The candidate will receive a well-developed existing client base and be responsible for managing and growing it as per the company SOPs and KPIs, under the guidance of the management team.
