OVERALL PURPOSE The Sales Team leader is primarily responsible for setting goals, devising sales strategies, evaluating sales team performance, assigning tasks, and providing support and corrective measures should there be any concerns. The core objective is to assist in the development, performance and maintenance of the activities of the Sales Department with responsibility for the day to day activities of your team. Main responsibilities will include: - Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture - Set clear team goals - Delegate tasks and set deadlines - Oversee day-to-day operation - Monitor team performance and report on metrics - Motivate team members - Analyze escalations and quality scores, provide root cause analysis and put controls in place to increase quality, reduce any risks and improve upon customer insights - Be a key stakeholder with the relevant teams which can to help drive improvements that are in line with business strategy and operational opportunities - Support the process of training and rolling out standard operating procedures in a version controlled, tracked and supportive way - Represent and live the values/culture/brand THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Matric/equivalent (essential) - Relevant qualification (desirable) - Minimum of 2years Team Leader experience within financial services - Minimum of 3 years' experience within a contact centre environment - Proven track record of consistently hitting business targets - Leading by example, always demonstrating exceptional customer experience THE COMPETENCIES WE'RE AFTER - Effective communication and leadership skills - Pro-active team player - must work well in a team and contribute to team success - Leading innovation and change - Ability to motivate team members - Excellent sales and negotiation skills - Target driven - Intuitive - Problem-solving skills - Customer obsessed - Coaching & feedback competency - Strong analytical skills - Hands-on team player - High level of EQ - Solid attention to detail
