Job Title: Section ManagerLocation: Mpumalanga, South AfricaJob Type: Full-timeJob Summary:We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Section Manager at our client's organization in Mpumalanga. The Section Manager will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the company, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and safety within that section. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a managerial role, excellent leadership skills, and a strong understanding of the industry.Responsibilities:Manage and oversee all operations within the designated section.Develop and implement strategies to optimize productivity and efficiency.Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.Provide guidance and support to team members, including training and development opportunities.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and ensure seamless operations.Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulators.Handle any issues or conflicts that may arise within the section in a timely and effective manner.Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to remain competitive in the market.Qualifications:B Eng. / BSc / BTech in Mining EngineeringMine Managers Certificate of Competency (MMC)Minimum 8 years’ experience with 2 years appointed Mine Overseer in Production and 2 years appointed Mining Activity EngineerAn in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Operational value chain in Opencast / Underground OperationsAn in-depth knowledge of legislation relating to the mining industry.
