Job Title: Section Manager - Mining Industry Location: North West, South Africa Job Type: Full-time RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a motivated and experienced Section Manager to join their mining operation in the North West region of South Africa. The Section Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a specific section within the mine, ensuring that production targets are met, safety standards are adhered to, and team members are effectively managed. Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of mining staff, including supervisors, operators, and technicians, to achieve production targets and operational KPIs. Develop and implement work plans, schedules, and strategies to optimize production and resource utilization within the section. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards. Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with other sections and departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication across the mine operation. Manage the budget and resources allocated to the section, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient utilization of resources. Mentor and coach team members to develop their skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and performance excellence. Essential Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field. Mine Managers Certificate of Competency At least 5 years' experience as Mine Manager (MHSA 2.6.1 or 3.1 appointment) Minimum 4 years' Trackless Mining experience and background Excellent knowledge of mining operations, equipment, processes, and regulations. Strong leadership and communication skills. Proven track record of achieving production targets and maintaining high safety standards. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
