Duties & Responsibilities JOB GRADE: B4 PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide physical security services for the Dockyard with the intention of the protection of PMC’ s assets. CRITICAL PERFORMANCE AREAS: Monitor access control at entrances to PMC Dockyard (Cole Point Gate, Martello Tower and Cole Point Vehicle Trap). Participate in Protection Operations to enable Dockyard to be adequately protected and functional during safeguarding exercises and states. The processing of Vehicle and Pedestrian Access Permits daily. Upkeep of the following Registers:- Occurrence Book, Main Door Key Registers, Visitor’s Register, Vehicle and Pedestrian Access Permit Register, Register of Contractors, Crew Register of Docked Commercial Vessels. Control Main Door keys of all Main Buildings in PMC Dockyard by ensuring each issue are authorized and recorded in Key Register. Perform tasks unrelated to Security and assist other sections as instructed by Management. The completion of registers at ships in PMC Dockyard hands and PMC Dockyard entrances. Ensure that all parcels or hand-held luggage are searched in accordance to the SOP. Ensure that all Dockyard personnel vehicles entering and leaving the site are searched in accordance to the SOP. Ensure adherence to good housekeeping practices Perform alcohol testing at Mining access points i.e., Cole Point Vehicle Trap, Cole Point Pedestrian and Martello Tower. Re–fuelling of vehicles. Respond to emergencies by providing necessary transportation to a Hospital Facility. SPECIAL PROFICIENCY/SKILLS: Must be willing to work overtime/shifts Must have own transport Security related knowledge Effective Communication (verbal & written) Client service Strong ethical conduct Ability to work independently and in a team Sober habits Computer proficiency Desired Experience & Qualification EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in security services.
