What you'll do:As a Security Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for day-to-day operations within the operational security team. You will provide crucial oversight to ensure control requirements and technologies are correctly applied. Your role will involve active participation in major incident responses, minimising any potential impact. You will also work closely with technical teams to develop technical security standards that align with industry best practice while considering the risk appetite and needs of the organisation. Additionally, you will carry out security assessments on suppliers as part of our Third Party Risk Management programme. A key aspect of your role will be owning the vulnerability management process, ensuring that technical vulnerabilities are reviewed and remediated in accordance with our standards.Manage day-to-day operations within the operational security team ensuring tasks, audit items and operational procedures are executed efficiently and effectively.Provide security posture oversight to ensure control requirements and technologies are being correctly applied.Actively participate in major incident response and minimise any impact.Develop technical security standards in conjunction with the technical teams.Carry out security assessments on suppliers as part of our Third Party Risk Management programme.Own the vulnerability management process ensuring technical vulnerabilities are reviewed and remediated in accordance with our standards. What you bring:The ideal candidate for this Security Operations Manager position brings strong technical expertise in security technologies and their application. You should have knowledge and experience of industry standards such as ISO27001:2022. We value good judgement, a sense of urgency and commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are essential for this role. You should have a good understanding of data handling best-practices and information management and governance.
