Senior Architect: Security Pre-sales - South Africa

Our client has a senior position available for a Senior Architect: Security Pre-sales. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or another related field. Relevant OEM security certification in: Azure, AWS or Google etc. Fortinet, Palo Alto, Symantec etc. Business and Commercial acumen. Fluent in English- French would be advantageous. 15 years’ experience in Information Technology and Presales. Understanding of cloud network security technology, endpoint security, data protection and identity management systems. Prior professional services or consulting background. Experience working across diverse cultures and geographies would be advantageous. Experience working in a large organization. Experience in global enterprises coupled with emerging markets. KPAs: Translate the customer requirements into working solutions. Provide input into business cases to understand cost, risk and benefits of solutions. Deliver on customer POCs and ensure testing criteria is clear and agreed upon. Commercial acumen must be used to deliver solutions that fit within the customer’s budget. Provide input into the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in enterprise development and to maximize the return of the investment. Work in cross functional teams to define, deliver and support the design and development of technology solutions. Occasionally participate in the supplier selection process. Renew new and existing solutions design projects and procurements plans for compliance with architecture plans. Maintain current OEM certifications and where required obtain new certifications. Work with global teams to create and execute research into the feasibility of customer specific solutions. Contribute to the development, review and analysis of the IoT Products and Services roadmaps to ensure alignment with client requirements. Own the technical relationships with customers. Design Security product-specific pre-sales architecture within approved operational limits. Lead the technical design and build of the customer elements of the solution. Provide input into the account management plans and go-to-market plays. Collaborate with sales specialists and account managers to deep dive into customers' business challenges. Develop and design high quality technical responses to RFPs/ RFQs and RFIs that meet customer requirements. Maintain alignment to the Group sales and pre-sales architect processes. Provide pre-sales technical support and expertise in response to client requirements. Work with Security Products and Alliances teams to leverage partnerships for complex solutions that may be outside of the company’s expertise.
