Reference: HQ000755-MM-1An opportunity has arisen within our Head Office for a Senior Bookkeeper. The incumbent must have a strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Skills and direct and indirect tax legislation knowledge. Advantageous to have worked in within a TES environment. Job Functions: Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results Support month-end and year-end close processes for the group Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Liaise with our Financial Manager to improve financial procedures Reconcile all balance sheet accounts – Monthly Assist with tax audits, tax returns, and employee tax reconciliation (EMP501) Direct external audits to ensure compliance Preparation of Monthly VAT reconciliation Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or relevant field A strong understanding of Tax legislation (ETI) – (3-5 years exp) A strong Understanding Tax year process – EMP501 (3-5 years exp) Strong knowledge of the payroll cycle Strong knowledge of benefits/bargaining councils Strong Financial Reporting and Reconciliation skills Knowledge of IFRS for SME’s Knowledge of Tax Legislation and compliance (Direct and Indirect) Advanced MS Excel and Microsoft Office skills Ability to analyze large amounts of data and compile detailed reports Key Competencies Planning and organizing Accuracy and attention to detail Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills Communication skills Confidentiality Strong integrity & Ethics Systems Knowledge Accpac VIP SAGE SAGE Evolution Monthly
