We are an importer and supplier of Sawmilling, Agricultural and Woodworking equipment, and are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper . The company is based in Fairview Johannesburg, Gauteng . The role calls for a loyal, and experienced individual, who has a strong work ethic. It is a transactional role, and extremely hands-on. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, bank, fixed assets, and general ledger entries. Reconcile bank statements with the company's financial records to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. Maintain a daily cash flow. Petty cash processing and reconciliations. Full VAT control along with VAT return submissions via eFiling Monitor expenses, reconcile GL accounts. Perform Accounts Payable; Fixed Assets; Bank; GL Recons. Audit file preparation. Relevant Finance qualification eg, bookkeeping diploma. Proficiency in Afrikaans and English. At least 10 years of relevant experience in Bookkeeping/Accounting in a products type environment, preferably including imports and exports. Proficient in accounting software, ideally Sage Pastel Evolution and Microsoft Office Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Must have own transportation. Market Related
