Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper - Heavy Manufacturing/Mining (Industry Experience Essential and Non-Negotiable)Location: Kempton Park, JHBJob Type: Full-timeJob Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team in the heavy manufacturing/mining industry. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills and experience working with financial data in a manufacturing/mining environment. This role will involve overseeing the financial records of the company and ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations.Responsibilities:Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliationsPrepare financial statements and reports for management reviewFull-function creditors and debtors managementPetty cash processing and reconciliations.Daily stock and inventory processing and adjustmentsPost journal entries for accrued expenses, and interest-bearing loansMonitor cash flow and budgeting to ensure financial stabilityAssist with tax preparation and reportingDevelop and implement financial policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiencyQualifications:Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping.3 - 5 years of experience in financial accounting, within the heavy manufacturing/mining industryProficient with Accounting Packages - eg.
