Senior Civil/Structural Draughtsman - Empangeni

• Min of 5 to 7 years experience
• Experience in commercial building and heavy industrial structures
• Must be computer literate in CAD Software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Solidworks, Advanced Steel)
• 3D CAD modelling experience (AutoCad / Inventor / SolidEdge / ProE / SolidWorks or any other known mainstream CAD package).
• Willing to perform site work, out-of-office.
• Willing to travel for work.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Open communication approach with colleagues.
• Good organizational skills.
• Structured approach to problem solving and structured approach to day-to-day self-management.
• Ability to perform the necessary engineering introspection and willingness to be challenged.
• Showing initiative in challenging and unclear circumstances.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Team player and must work well within a project team
• Able to do own drafting work (AutoCad, Inventor, Microstation, Advance steel etc)
• Able to do Reinforcing detailing (Rebarmate, Prokon)

• Create manual drawings according to a design and / or use software packages - Drafting packages (AutoCAD, inventor, solid works, advanced steel)
• Assist the Design Engineer with the generation of drawings.
• Responsible for the approval of the drawings
• Record keeping of drawings electronically
• Registration of all drawing documents
• Ability to perform the necessary engineering introspection and willingness to be challenged.
• Showing initiative in challenging and unclear circumstances.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Under supervision of senior engineer, carry out detail designs using various computer software packages
• Liaising with clients and a variety of professionals and form part of a coordination team
• Check drawings prepared by others and sign off.
