Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Construction Manager to join our team for an exciting project in the Mpumalanga area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SMPP environments and a proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects. Project Management : Oversee all aspects of the construction project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers, supervisors, and construction workers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures. Quality Assurance: Ensure all construction activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Safety Management: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are followed. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project progress. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process. Reporting: Provide regular project status reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and opportunities. Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management within the SMPP environment, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. Certification: Professional registration with a recognized engineering or construction management body is an advantage. Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent project planning and organizational abilities. Comprehensive understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and equipment. Proficient in project management software and tools. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
