Senior Consulting Engineer (Industrial Engineer) Location : Pretoria, Gauteng Position status: Permanent and office based. There is an exciting new role available for a Senior Consulting Engineer (Industrial Engineer) at a leading business and engineering consultancy firm located in Pretoria. Position Overview: The primary responsibilities of the Senior Consulting Engineer will be to form part of a Consulting Team to manage and deliver consultancy projects for external and internal clients. The Senior Consulting Engineer will work independently and within a team to implement projects, lead and supervise junior engineers. The scope of project work includes Requirement Elicitation, Business Process Re-engineering, Concept Development, User Requirements Specifications, Report Writing and Solving Complex problems using Industrial Engineering tools and techniques. The Senior Consulting Engineer will also be required to assist with Business Development and Tender Proposal preparation. To be considered for this position, one must have: A completed Postgraduate qualification. A completed Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Industrial Engineering from a reputable university. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant engineering consulting experience. Proven experience in: Working with consulting teams and/ or managing Junior Engineers. Consulting project management and execution. Applying analytical and conceptual skills in Project Delivery. Report writing – Project Inception, Progress, Technical and Final Project Delivery Reports. Project presentations and facilitation of meetings and / or workshops. Proficiency in the advance features of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Working experience with Miro and Jira. Experience or Knowledge of the Following: Task Management and Administration using JIRA (Kanban), Miro boards. Applying Artificial Intelligent (AI) tools in Project Research, Reporting, Presentations and Bid Proposals. Holistic Solution Design / Solution Architecture – Rethink and re-engineer Business Processes with New Requirements as applicable for implementation in respect of Legislation, Standards, and Systems. System Deployment Infrastructure – Requirements for Network and Data Centre Implementation. Experience in the Following Industries: Transport Planning, Governance and Compliance with both Domestic and International Regulatory Requirements. International Supply Chain Processes and Regulations for International Trade from Purchase Order to Delivery at client via Sea / Air / Road Shipment. International Trade Facilitation.
