We are a Private Company which owns a number of newly established Spar / Superspar and Tops outlets in Kwazulu-Natal. We continue to expand and have a need for enthusiastic people to support this growth, which includes senior creditors clerk positions based at our Head Office in Mount Edgecombe, Durban. We are looking for senior trade creditors clerks who ideally have relevant prior experience doing trade creditors in a retail environment and are familiar with working on different accounting systems. Experience in EasyAcc Accounting - IntelliAcc is a plus. He/she will report to the financial director. Reconciliation of payments including matching of documents paid. Obtain supporting documentation for payments taken to allow for the proper allocation of such amounts. Obtain supporting documentation for payments received to allow for the proper allocation of such amounts. Filing of creditor reconciliations and statements. Communicate clearly with Suppliers and stores for the purpose of query resolution. Review creditor related suspense accounts to ascertain the nature of any items reflected, and thereafter reallocate to the correct accounts. Processing of claims for goods returned/pricing differences onto a portal, for the purpose of ensuring that credit notes due to the company, are given. Checking the portal daily to monitor that the credits required are being actioned timeously by suppliers. Follow up with suppliers in respect of queries they may have raised, and provide any outstanding documentation that may be required. Processing of journals raised, once these have been authorised. Any Further Duties that may be required from time to time Grade 12, preferably with Accounting and Mathematics. 5 - 6 years' experience doing full function creditors, preferably in a Spar retail environment. Solid numerical skills. Computer skills, (experience with EasyAcc Accounting - IntelliAcc is an advantage), and at least Intermediate levels knowledge and skills in MS Office, specifically MS Excel Spreadsheets. Attention to detail and accuracy, with an approach which focuses on getting the work done correctly. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure. Ability to clearly communicate both telephonically and by e-mail. Market Related Apply Now
