Owethu Managed Services is looking for an experience Senior Data Specialist with the required: 10 years of comprehensive experience in data management, analysis, and strategy development within the banking industry. Key Responsibilities: Data Management: Lead the development and implementation of data management strategies and frameworks to ensure the integrity, quality, and security of banking data assets. Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis and interpretation to derive actionable insights and inform business decision-making processes within the banking organization. Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Data Architecture: Design and maintain scalable and efficient data architectures, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts, to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. Data Integration: Oversee the integration of disparate data sources and systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability across the banking infrastructure. Data Visualization: Develop and deploy data visualization tools and dashboards to present complex data sets in a clear and intuitive manner, facilitating data-driven decision-making at all levels of the organization. Predictive Analytics: Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to develop predictive models and algorithms for risk assessment, customer segmentation, and fraud detection in the banking domain. Data Privacy and Security: Implement robust data privacy and security measures, including encryption, access controls, and data masking techniques, to safeguard sensitive information and mitigate cyber threats. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, risk management, compliance, and business operations, to align data initiatives with organizational goals and objectives. Key Skills and Competencies: Data Management: Proficiency in data modeling, data profiling, data cleansing, and data governance practices, with a strong understanding of relational and non-relational database systems. Statistical Analysis: Advanced knowledge of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and time series forecasting techniques, with experience using tools such as R, Python, or SAS. Business Intelligence Tools: Experience with business intelligence and analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView, for data visualization and reporting. Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Hive, for processing and analyzing large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements relevant to the banking industry, including GDPR, Basel III, and CCAR.
