As an Intermediate DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing the platform infrastructure to ensure high availability. You will be responsible for provisioning changes to AWS using Terraform while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Your role will also involve maintaining Kubernetes clusters and Ansible scripts. You will ensure that all databases have consistent backup schedules and comply with platform security policies. Furthermore, you will guide your team members in best practices related to DevOps and cybersecurity. Your leadership skills will be put to good use as you lead infrastructure and automation projects. Ensure high-availability of platform infrastructure, including services, virtual machines, and specific databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) Provision changes and new infrastructure to AWS using Terraform, with a strong emphasis on cost-effectiveness Maintain, advance and optimise AWS service usage Maintain and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and Ansible scripts Ensure all databases have consistent, monitored backup schedules, with regular restore tests Ensure compliance with platform security policies and continuously align with our client's security requirements Guide team members in best practices related to DevOps and cybersecurity Lead and manage infrastructure and automation projects The ideal candidate for the Intermediate DevOps Engineer role will bring a strong understanding of AWS services and networking. You should be proficient in Kubernetes management, Docker, and Helm. Your skills in Linux CLI and Linux Server administration will be essential, as well as your proficiency in Windows server administration. A solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, SMTP, and SNMP is required. Practical experience with CI/CD systems and monitoring systems is also necessary. Basic coding skills, preferably Python or similar, are required and knowledge of Terraform is desirable. Strong understanding of AWS services and networking (e.g. ELB, S3, WAF, EC2, CloudTrail, RDS) Proficiency in Kubernetes management, Docker and Helm Comfortable with Linux CLI and Linux Server administration; comfortable with Bash scripting Proficient in Windows server administration Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, SMTP, and SNMP Practical experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab preferred) and monitoring systems (e.g., Grafana,PRTG) Comfortable with basic coding (e.g. Python or similar), knowledge of Terraform is desirable Familiarity with Azure environments, Active Directory and Office365 is desirable Ready to take the next step in your career?
