Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Solar Electrical Engineer with experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of solar projects, with a focus on integrating BESS technology to optimize performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities:- Lead the engineering design and development of solar projects integrated with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal locations and configurations for solar installations with BESS integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, electrical engineers, and construction professionals to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for solar and BESS systems.
- Perform performance modeling, simulation, and analysis to optimize system performance and energy storage capabilities.
- Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to commissioning and operations.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in solar and energy storage technologies, and incorporate innovative solutions into project designs.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in solar electrical engineering, with a focus on BESS integration.
- Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, and energy storage modeling tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power electronics, and energy storage technologies.
- Experience with permitting, regulatory compliance, and interconnection processes for solar and BESS projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- PMP or PE certification (preferred but not required).
