Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of the job

Engineering solutions through research, design and enhancement of company products.

KPAs

Solution Design

Investigate and understand company and customer requirements of company products and potential products.
Design solutions that meet company and customer requirements.
Continuously research new methods and technologies in order to improve company offering.

Project management

Take ownership of assigned projects.
Be responsible for timeline and budget.
Interface with external / internal parties in order to ensure successful delivery.
Regularly give account of project progress as per company standards.

Electronic &Firmware Design

Selection and sourcing of appropriate components and technologies, both board-level (i.e. MOSFETs) and general components (i.e. electrical motors, transformers).
Design of schematics, PCBs and general electronics for new and existing products.
Writing firmware, implementing suitable algorithms for the successful operation of company products.
Participate in design reviews, both on own work and work by colleagues.
Successful delivery of electronic components as part of solution delivery.

Testing

Test products for conformance to requirements (internal & external, including regulatory requirements).
Develop test methodologies and line documentation to ensure continued compliance.
Develop test jigs to ensure the line can manufacture effectively.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualification

Only B.Sc Eng, B.Eng or higher in Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering will be considered.
