Key Responsibilities: TECHNICAL ABILITIES & EXPERTISE Fire Detection, Gas Suppression and Emergency Evacuation Systems CCTV Monitoring & Recording Systems Access Control Systems Structured Cabling design with broad based knowledge of network and IT related equipment Building Management Systems (BMS) Fibre Optic Network design including Ethernet and GPON Audio Visual Systems Project Management and Coordination with other Building Services Knowledge and experience with Autodesk BIM (Revit, Navisworks, Glue, Field, etc.) and CAD software (Advantageous) GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS Independently manage all project phases as per PROCSA and other engineering contracts Manage multiple big projects simultaneously Project and Engineering report writing & checking High-level quality to the attention to detail when performing design reviews, for sign-off, with internal working peers and BIM team. Maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Implementing best practice engineering methods. Providing technical guidance to engineering teams and top management. Supporting established organizational objectives by developing goals and strategies. Presenting budgets and plans. Finding and implementing ways to improve cost-efficiency. Ability to offer input with multiple engineering disciplines in project meetings. Good client marketing characteristics and including external project professional team members. Must be a team player and be able to work independently on challenging projects that may have tight timelines Health and Safety: Role model standards for SHEQ performance and behaviour consistent with the company's health, safety, environmental and quality vision and policies by influencing those around you Contributing to the identification of SHEQ risks and driving processes to achieve Zero Harm Embracing, displaying, and promoting the company values and ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times Qualifications Minimum BTech degree in Engineering. BSc is highly advantageous Professional registration with ECSA is a requirement Project Management qualification is advantageous SAQCC registration is advantageous Minimum of 5-7 years electronic services engineering experience required Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Key Competencies: Ability to work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines Ability to effectively convey information (written and oral) Problem sensitivity Critical Thinking - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems Sound Judgment, Decision Making and Deductive as well as Inductive Reasoning Skills Using scientific rules and methods to solve problems Quality Control Analysis Active Learning - understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making For this position, you should have exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills, management experience, and a belief in developing the skills and talents of others Additional Information What's in it for you?
